US Defends Dalai Lama Visit As China Fumes

President Bush met with the Dalai Lama Tuesday, despite a
warning from the Chinese that the meeting could damage
relations between teh US and China. The Tibetan spiritual
leader is in the US to receive the Congressional Gold Medal.
