Airbus steals ahead at Dubai
The European planemaker snared a deal with Gulf airline
Emirates for 70 of its A360 Xtra Wide Body Airbus Planes and
options on 50 more - an order worth a potential $US35 billion.
Boeing is ahead in the annual race for orders with Airbus but
the Emirates deal means that gap is now narrowing as the two
fight it out for market share. Not to be outdone, Boeing did a
$13.5 billion deal with Qatar Airways for its 787 Dreamliners.
